The upcoming exhibition at Nxt Museum examines the evolution of image processing – both through machine algorithms and human perception. How do we perceive and create images? How do machine algorithms influence our perception? What gets lost in the process?
Featuring works by seven visionary artists, ‘Still Processing’ invites visitors to explore spaces where machine algorithms meet human perception: From 3D-rendered environments and AI-generated holograms to large-scale kinetic installations combining moving light and sound. The exhibition’s artists create sensory experiences that blur the boundaries between the real and the imagined. We invite visitors to explore colours beyond human vision and how sound shapes space.
“With Still Processing, we delve into how humans and machines transform data into meaning while reflecting on what might be overlooked or lost during these interpretations,” says curator Bogomir Doringer. “By intertwining technological image processing with immersive installations, we invite visitors to explore how perception connects the visible, the imagined and the unseen.”
More information and the full list of artists will be available in January.
