Still Processing explores how people and technology translate data into meaning. How do we navigate between the rational and the emotional? The exhibition explores the flattening of images, the mental imprints left by watching moving light, and how AI evolves digitally created worlds and characters.
The exhibition merges two interconnected approaches:
1. The role of technology in shaping and manipulating images.
2. The role of the human brain in processing movement, light, and sound.
Like a computer, humans constantly process an endless stream of information, weaving together cognitive, emotional, and physiological threads to make sense of the world. This idea of processing is mimicked in technology, which often obscures ways of seeing and creating images. As our realities are processed by computers, objectivity and technology mask the decisions in the systems that shape them.
Still Processing puts the world on pause. It’s the quiet space where understanding and emotion intertwine when we grapple with the profound, the unexpected, or something deeply personal. It’s a moment of reflection, a recognition that some things need time to settle into clarity.
