Tickets

I am an (international) student, can I buy a student ticket?

Yes, all students are welcome at Nxt Museum! Be sure to bring your student card (that includes a picture and valid end date).

I am a student but don’t have a student card, can I still purchase a student ticket?

You must bring proof of current enrollment at your university to show to our hosts upon entering the museum – we also accept a proof of enrollment of registration ( Studielink, or from the school itself)

I own a Stadspas, where can I book my ticket?

Stadspas tickets can be booked here. You can book one ticket per Stadspas, it is not possible to bring a guest free of charge.If you are coming with a regular ticket holder book your stadspas ticket first to ensure that you can enter the museum together. Be sure to bring your valid Stadspas to show on the door.In case the card is not valid at the time of the visit, the full ticket price needs to be paid at the entrance.

Can I get a payment receipt for my ticket(s)?

No, unfortunately our ticketing system does not allow creating an invoice for this type of ticket. A booking overview is shared in your confirmation email, along with your tickets.

Can I get a refund on my ticket?

No, we don’t refund tickets. We offer the opportunity to change your time slot up to 4 hours ahead of your booking, if you really cannot make it. Please go to our ticket support to make the change to your booking.

How to visit Nxt Museum with the Iamsterdam City Card?

Book your tickets in advance via our ticketshop. Upon entering the museum, please bring your City Card. Make sure your City Card is valid at the time of your visit. If the card is not valid at the time of the visit, the full ticket price needs to be paid at the entrance.

How do I take advantage of dynamic ticket prices?

Standard Adult Ticket prices vary based on time slot and start from €22,75 up to €24,75. We offer a special rate during early and late time slots during the weekdays.

School and Group visits

How can I arrange a group booking to Nxt Museum?

For groups of more than 10 people – whether you’re from a business, or just a group of friends – use the Group Booking Tool here. Group bookings must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can, usually that takes us about 4-5 days.

How can I book a visit for my students or organise a school visit?

You can easily book a visit for your students via our school booking tool. Be sure to book your tickets 2 weeks in advance of your visit. We also accept the Cultuurkaart!

Visitor care: ability & access

Can I enter Nxt Museum’s exhibition if I have epilepsy?

This exhibition contains flashing video images and loud sounds which may not be suitable for people with epilepsy – please bear this in mind when planning your visit.

Is the museum accessible for wheelchairs?

Yes, the exhibition, restaurant and toilets are accessible via wheelchair ramps or alternative routes. We also have disabled parking slots which may be booked upon reservation by leaving us a message here.

Do you offer companion tickets?

Visitors who are unable to navigate their way through the museum independently can bring a companion with them for free. Please get in touch via our contact form 

Is the museum suitable for children?

When it comes to the youngest amongst us, Nxt Museum is enjoyed by children of all age groups.Keep in mind that our artworks and some installations are housed within dark rooms with loud sounds and light installations. From December 18th 2023, discover our kids quiz for kids from 3-12 year olds.

From what age can my kids visit Nxt, unaccompanied by an adult?

Children from the age of 12 may visit the Museum without being accompanied by an adult. However, they cannot supervise young children. Parents and guardians of unaccompanied children aged 12 to 18 are responsible and accountable for the behaviour of their children at all times.

In the museum

How long can I stay in the museum and within the exhibition?

Most visitors spent about 1 to 1 1/2 hours in the exhibition. We recommend that you take as much time as you’d like- stay as long as you wish, up until we close!

Can I take pictures during my visit?

Feel free to capture your visit with your phone. Professional photography gear(cameras with changeable lenses) and accessories (tripods, flash, etc) are not allowed in the space.

Can I use a locker at Nxt Museum?

Coats and small bags are allowed in the museum, but we kindly ask you to store large bags and backpacks if you bring any. We do not have space to store large suitcases or other luggage.

Do you have onsite wifi?

Nxt Museum offers free guest Wifi to its visitors and we advise our visitors using the guest wifi to not transmit their credit card information, passwords, and any other sensitive personal information.

Are food and drinks allowed within the exhibition?

Food and drinks are not allowed within the exhibition. The installations on show rely on high tech equipment that is highly sensitive.

Can I bring my dog to Nxt Museum?

No, we do not allow dogs in the museum, unless they are Guide Dogs. We do not think furry friends would appreciate the levels of sound and flashing lights as much as you will.

Travelling here

From De Pijp

Approximately 30m minutes by metro, take Metro line 52 four stops towards Noord/ North and exit at Noorderpark station (only one stop away). Nxt Museum is a 10 minute walk from Noorderpark.

From Museumplein

Walk ten minutes to Vijzelgracht metro station and take Metro line 52 towards Noord/ North. Exit at Noorderpark station after 3 stops. Nxt Museum is a 10-minute walk from Noorderpark Metro station.

From Amsterdam central station

It’s a 10-minute bike ride or 20-minute walk from Amsterdam central station. Simply take the ferry to Buiksloterweg (located at the rear of the station). After a 5-minute crossing it’s just a short walk or cycle to Asterweg 22.

Can I travel to Nxt Museum by car?

Parking is not allowed on the premises of Nxt Museum and limited parking is possible in the neighbourhood. We encourage visitors to visit the museum by bike, on foot or using Amsterdam’s electric shared transportation.

Gift Vouchers

How long does my gift ticket last?

The gift voucher will be valid for one year after the purchase date.

Can I purchase a gift voucher for multiple people?

Yes you can! Gift a voucher for a visit to Nxt Museum for multiple people, by adding multiple tickets in your basket in step 1 in our ticketshop. Please note that the entrance tickets will be bundled in one voucher that has to be redeemed in one time. If you wish to purchase gift tickets for multiple people, purchase the gift vouchers in seperate bookings.
