As part of Museumnacht 2024, Nxt Museum will open its doors until the small hours of the morning to showcase the art, sound and technology of now. On Saturday, November 2, you can explore cutting-edge exhibitions that challenge the boundaries between humans, nature, and new media.
During Museumnacht you can wander through our current exhibitions until 2AM, grab a drink or two and dance to the sound of DJ Glamourboyz.
First, step into Life in a Different Resolution, a retrospective exhibition by Random International, curated by Bogomir Doringer. Spanning two decades of work, this exhibition features large-scale installations that explore the impact of artificial intelligence and technology on human consciousness. It’s an opportunity to reflect on how the digital age is reshaping what it means to be human.
You’ll also encounter Lumus Instruments’ POLYNODE VIII, an immersive installation in which light and sound combine to create evolving, spaceship-like patterns that flit between the intense and the elegant. This work explores how digital systems interact with physical spaces, offering a new perspective on the role of technology in shaping our environment.
Finally, experience PLAYMODES Studio’s Espectres, a 370sqm installation that turns pixels into sound. This audiovisual experience invites you to see and hear the fusion of visual art and music in real-time.
