During this Ars Electronica 2020, we virtually and physically participated with artists and academics from all around the world by hosting streams both online and from Nxt Lab. In our Shifting Proximities Garden, we invited everyone to participate in workshops, panel discussions and performances.
Creative Artificial Intelligence systems are widely used in creating images, videos and art. This collaboration between man and machine is still ambiguous when it comes to ownership: who owns the artworks; who is using who? To discuss this, we are meeting expert in digital law Sari Depreeuw and AI media artist Francesco D’Abbraccio (aka LOREM) to discuss the role of AI in society today and tomorrow.
