The full Nxt programme for Amsterdam Dance Event
At the crossroads of electronic music, visual art, and technology, Nxt Museum returns to Amsterdam Dance Event 2025 with a three-day programme that traces techno’s many voices and futures.
Visual Frequencies brings together uncompromising pioneers of industrial and minimal techno, innovators in modular and ambient electronics, and new generations exploring cinematic, narrative-driven, and club-rooted sounds. Each night pairs music with real-time visual worlds—from AI-driven lightscapes to sculptural installations and posthumous projections—transforming the museum into an evolving stage where sound and image shape one another. Audiences will encounter world premieres, rare reunions, and first-time collaborations that connect dancehall-infused club experiments, acid legacies, and leftfield techno.
Visual Frequencies creates a living survey of electronic culture: how it remembers, resists, and reinvents itself. By weaving together international icons and Dutch experimenters, improvisation and choreography, intensity and reflection, Nxt offers ADE a programme that is not only a celebration of genres but also a testament to their capacity for transformation when sound, vision, and audience meet on equal terms.
Friday, October 24, 18.00 – 03.00
Friday opens with a programme curated by London’s Mastery studio, exploring sound as a psychedelic and the transcendental power of live electronic music. And concludes with a bold finale curated by Junction 2, one of London’s leading electronic festivals.
