A night where primal energy meets cutting-edge innovation sets the tone for Nxt Museum’s ADE 2025 programme, with Chlär, Colin Benders, and Valody.
The evening is anchored by the world premiere of KERNEL – an AV performance from Chlär, founder of the Berlin-based techno label Primal Instinct. Developed in collaboration with the French/Parisian artists Théo Rocquancourt and Femur, KERNEL fuses unreleased peak-time techno in dialogue with custom and complex AI systems, generating immersive visuals, creating an audiovisual exorcism of the modern condition. Expect an all-encompassing experience where body and machine collide in real time.
Surrounding this debut, the programme unfolds with a modular live show from Dutch icon Colin Benders, whose improvisational electronic journeys reimagine techno through the limitless potential of analogue synthesis, presented within an installation by new media artist Boris Acket—a dialogue between light sculpture and pulsing sound.
Local talent Valody bookends the night with adventurous blends of Dutch experimental techno, weaving local creativity into the international programme, while Nxt Artist in Residence Jillis Pieters delivers live visuals throughout the evening.
From emerging voices to legendary innovators, this event embodies ADE’s essence: sound and image interwoven, boundaries dissolved, and the future of techno imagined anew. Step inside and witness the opening chapter of Nxt Museum’s radical audiovisual journey.
