The Prompt Battle

Have you ever considered combining the joy of generating images with the thrill of a rap battle? Enter the prompt* battle.

Instead of coming up with pulverising bars about your opponent or showing off your best moves, a prompt battle challenges you to generate an image using AI text-to-image software that goes way harder than your rival’s. During a prompt battle, participants will battle it out on stage to see who can create the most original, funniest, or weirdest AI-generated image.

*A prompt is a snippet of text given to an AI language model to generate a response.

Show Me the Light: The VR Silent Disco

Step into a new dimension during Museum Night with “Show Me the Light: The VR Silent Disco”, an immersive audiovisual experience by Studio Vrij in collaboration with Brass Rave Unit. Using VR glasses and headphones, participants move together as avatars in a shared virtual space. 

You can dance with ten people at the same time, with music, visuals and movement coming together in a dynamic, endless loop. The goal is simple: to connect people through music and movement. But as the experience becomes intense and repetitive, a silent question arises: do we still have control over our actions, or are we just following the beat?

The Amsterdam Museum Night Foundation was established to connect young people from Amsterdam with the museums in their city.
