Nxt Museum is hosting a live ambient piano concert by S. Salter in one of the large-scale installations created for our current exhibition Still Processing. S. Salter will perform a mixture of existing tracks, new creations and live experimentations, while simultaneously playing audio-reactive live visuals using Boris Ackets’ installation Duration.
Visitors are invited to visit Still Processing before and after the concert. Enjoy a drink at our bar and experience the audio-visual entertainment.
S. Salter occupy the space between ambient, neoclassical and experimental electronic. Combining delicate piano textures with innovative production techniques and layered sound design, S. Salter have created their own distinct yet ever-evolving sound.
In 2023 they released their debut album ‘Juun’ on acclaimed Dutch label Stmpd Rcrds, with multiple tracks receiving support from BBC Radio. Off the back of this they were featured on Leiter Verlag / Nils Frahm’s ‘Piano Day’ album, alongside the likes of Yann Tiersen and James Heather.
‘A Walk With S. Salter’, a large-scale AV show in collaboration with visual artists Sam McCormick and Seb Price saw sold-out shows in Amsterdam, Berlin and Zurich, with the aftermovies being viewed by hundreds of thousands more online.
Their new music sees them further broaden their sound, and with their anticipated second full-length release expected in 2026 it’s the perfect time to catch S. Salter perform an intimate live audiovisual show at Nxt Museum on December 17th.
