Join our artist talk on July 10 for an exclusive deep dive into the artistic practices of Geoffrey Lillemon and Gabey Tjon a Tham, two artists from our current exhibition, ‘Still Processing’. Hosted by Nxt Museum in Amsterdam, this talk explores the intersection of digital art, AI art, and immersive installation.
Moderated by Marie Calandre Alexandra, the conversation will unpack the artists’ creative processes and inspirations while examining how technology, nature, and the human condition converge through the lens of digital media and installation art within the broader themes of our exhibition.
Gabey Tjon a Tham is an installation artist based in The Hague whose work investigates how complex systems, in both natural and digital realms, are increasingly interconnected. Her audiovisual installations bridge virtual and analogue realities, merging insights from natural sciences and computer science. By uncovering links between the natural and artificial, her work questions the essence of nature in an anthropocentric world where it’s understood and shaped by human perception. Her work, Red Horizon, is currently on show at Nxt Museum.
Geoffrey Lillemon constantly defines new aesthetics and visionary ideas, driving a strong, future-minded approach to his art. The Amsterdam-based artist has a profoundly personal approach to using CGI and media art, which translates into unexpected expressions and commentary on the human condition, human life, mortality and anything in between. His work, Simulation in Blue, is now on show at Nxt Museum.
This event is part of Nxt Museum’s summer programme.
