Nxt Museum as a stage host at Mystic Garden Echo’s of Amsterdam
You dance inside the installation.

A full day of deep, hypnotic house, from warm afternoon to late after dark, inside a stage rebuilt from the museum floor. For Echo’s of Amsterdam, Nxt Museum brings Boris Acket’s light installation “Duration” to Sloterpark, a grid of light and sound that asks whether time is something you measure or something you feel.

The programme follows the Panorama Bar tradition: music built for long-form listening, for bodies in space, for the hours between afternoon sun and the dark after midnight.

Amsterdam-based artists open and carry the day: DJ Westfa opens with a warm, soulful set rooted in house, tribal rhythms, and percussion; Kléo spans the full spectrum of house, from raw jacking grooves to vocal-driven warmth and deeper synthesizer textures. As the energy shifts, Fafi Abdel Nour moves between melodic house, body music, and breakbeats with a strong sense of narrative and personal expression. Octo Octa performs live, bringing her blend of house, techno, and breakbeat to the dancefloor. Jen Cardini closes with wave-laced, gothic-tinged house music, threading depth and seduction into the night. As the night folds, Jen Cardini brings the evening to its close with a set that draws on wave and gothic influences, folding them carefully into house music that feels both seductive and cinematic.

About Duration by Boris Acket

How do we experience time? Is it a fixed mathematical dimension, or a subjective flow of fragmented moments? Duration holds both questions at once. A responsive grid, functioning like a parametric clockwork, distributes light and sound across space and time, drawing on a custom echo system that deconstructs audio into ever-changing patterns. The work takes its philosophical grounding from the 1922 debate between Einstein and Bergson, as explored by historian Jimena Canales: two irreconcilable ideas of time, set in dialogue.

At Echo’s of Amsterdam, Duration steps outside. Boris Acket rebuilds the installation as the architecture of the Nxt stage itself — the structure, the light, the DJ booth. What you already know from the museum becomes the space you move through.

Duration (2025), by Boris Acket. Light installation, co-produced by Studio Raito, Bob Roijen, Corey Schneider, with music by Boris Acket.
