When you reserve a private museum experience, you will be able to enjoy the museum for a complete hour.
Guided Tours start on the dot, please ensure you are on time. If you arrive late, unfortunately you will not be able to join the Guided Tour and you will forfeit the costs. However, you will be able to explore the exhibition independently.
Guided Tour bookings are neither refundable nor can be rescheduled. Due to the limited spots available and specific starting times.
Visitors who are unable to navigate their way through the museum independently can bring a companion with them for free. Please get in touch via our contact form

Standard Adult Ticket prices vary based on time slot and start from €20.50 up to €24,75. We offer a special rate during early and late time slots during the weekdays.
No, unfortunately our ticketing system does not allow creating an invoice for this type of ticket. A booking overview is shared in your confirmation email, along with your tickets.
Food and drinks are not allowed within the exhibition. The installations on show rely on high tech equipment that is highly sensitive.
Feel free to capture your visit with your phone. Professional photography gear(cameras with changeable lenses) and accessories (tripods, flash, etc) are not allowed in the space.
Yes you can! Local and International students must bring proof of current enrolment at their university (for example Studielink for Dutch students) to show upon entering the museum.
Yes, all students are welcome at Nxt Museum! Be sure to bring your student card (that includes a picture and valid end date).
POAPs are collectible digital tokens that are saved on the blockchain. Minted like an NFT the 3 POAPs enable unique benefits, in the future! These collectibles can be found hidden around the museum and are fun to hunt for. You can easily collect them via your email address or store them in your digital wallet.

A valid EU Digital Covid Certificate (‘Corona Check App QR code), as well as your ID (valid passport, ID, drivers license) is compulsory.
Children from the age of 12 may visit the Museum without being accompanied by an adult. However, they cannot supervise young children. Parents and guardians of unaccompanied children aged 12 to 18 are responsible and accountable for the behaviour of their children at all times.
You are not eligible for a refund if you book too many tickets. However you can rebook these tickets for an alternative date. To do so head to our ticket support.
If you’re more than 15 minutes late for your timeslot, your ticket will expire and you will not be refunded. If you know you are unable to make your timeslot any longer then please rebook your timeslot up to 4 hours in advance via our ticket support tool.
Book your tickets in advance via our ticketshop. Upon entering the museum, please bring your City Card. Make sure your City Card is valid at the time of your visit. If the card is not valid at the time of the visit, the full ticket price needs to be paid at the entrance.
You can change your time slot up to 4 hours ahead of your booking, if you really cannot make it. Please go to our ticket support to make the change to your booking.
You can easily book a visit for your students via our school booking tool. Be sure to book your tickets 2 weeks in advance of your visit. We also accept the Cultuurkaart!

Stadspas tickets can be booked here. You can book one ticket per Stadspas, it is not possible to bring a guest free of charge.If you are coming with a regular ticket holder book your stadspas ticket first to ensure that you can enter the museum together. Be sure to bring your valid Stadspas to show on the door.In case the card is not valid at the time of the visit, the full ticket price needs to be paid at the entrance.

You can only return an item on account of production or sales faults. Please get in touch via our contact form if this is the case. You can subsequently return your order by dropping it off at Nxt Museum on Wednesdays or Thursdays, or by sending it per post.
Items purchased at our webshop can be exchanged by returning the product to Nxt Museum in person with the receipt within 14 days. If the product is no longer available, the purchase price will be refunded. Full returns are accepted only on account of production or sales faults. Products can also be returned by post at the customer’s expense.
The pick-up is at Nxt Museum’s restaurant – Asterweg 22 in Amsterdam. Please follow the instructions on location.
You can pick-up your order at Nxt Museum on Wednesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 till 17:00. Find us at Asterweg 22 in Amsterdam Noord.

The gift voucher will be valid for one year after the purchase date.
Yes you can! Gift a voucher for a visit to Nxt Museum for multiple people, by adding multiple tickets in your basket in step 1 in our ticketshop. Please note that the entrance tickets will be bundled in one voucher that has to be redeemed in one time. If you wish to purchase gift tickets for multiple people, purchase the gift vouchers in seperate bookings.
We do not have a cancellation list, hence it’s not an option.
No, tickets to Nxt Museum can solely be purchased online via our ticket shop. Online bookings enable us to keep track of the amount of people in the space to ensure the best experience for each visitor.

Our survey has shown that 75% of our visitors would prefer to have phone free time slots, which is why we introduced certain time frames during which visitors can enjoy art without being distracted by their own or other people’s digital devices. We ask all visitors booking these time slots to refrain from using their phone whilst in the museum, to ensure a fully immersive exploration of Shifting Proximities. Phone-free time slots can be booked on the following day within these hours: Wednesdays from 6.15pm to 7pm.
After the recent announcement by the Dutch government on 15 Feb 2022, we have updated our Covid-19 protocol accordingly. Creating a space where you can safely enjoy art is our priority:

- In order to facilitate crowd management, the museum staff can and may ask you to wait.
- We have installed several positions in the museum where you can wash or disinfect your hands.
- We clean all touchpoints in the museum regularly.
- If you have any symptoms of Covid-19, we ask you to stay home and reschedule your visit.
- Please follow the instructions displayed clearly within the museum and given by our museum staff, so we can create a safe environment for everyone.

For groups of more than 10 people – whether you’re from a business, or just a group of friends – use the Group Booking Tool here. Group bookings must be made at least 2 weeks in advance of your visit. We’ll get back to you as soon as we can, usually that takes us about 4-5 days.
When it comes to the youngest amongst us, Nxt Museum is enjoyed by children of all age groups. However, many of our artworks and installations are housed within dark rooms with loud sounds, some strong language, nudity, and flashing videos. Be aware: one artwork in this exhibition contains sexual scenes and nudity. Please keep this in mind when considering if you’d like to bring young children.
We use timeslots (that occur every 15 minutes) in order to keep track of the flow of arriving guests. Please be on time! If you’re more than 15 minutes late you won’t be permitted to enter the museum on busy days.
No, we do not allow dogs in the museum, unless they are Guide Dogs. We do not think furry friends would appreciate the levels of sound and flashing lights as much as you will.

Most visitors spent about 1 to 1 1/2 hours in the exhibition. We recommend that you take as much time as you’d like- stay as long as you wish, up until we close!
The ICOM / Museum cards (Museum Jaarkaart) are not valid at Nxt Museum. Nxt Museum operates independent from any form of subsidy.
Nxt Museum offers free guest Wifi to its visitors and we advise our visitors using the guest wifi to not transmit their credit card information, passwords, and any other sensitive personal information.
Yes, the exhibition, restaurant and toilets are accessible via wheelchair ramps or alternative routes. We also have disabled parking slots which may be booked upon reservation by leaving us a message here.
This exhibition contains flashing video images and loud sounds which may not be suitable for people with epilepsy.
Coats and small bags are allowed in the museum, but we kindly ask you to store large bags and backpacks if you bring any. We do not have space to store large suitcases or other luggage.
Parking is not allowed on the premises of Nxt Museum and very limited parking is possible in the neighbourhood. We encourage visitors to visit the museum by bike, on foot or using Amsterdam’s electric shared transportation.
Approximately 30m minutes by metro, take Metro line 52 four stops towards Noord/ North and exit at Noorderpark station (only one stop away). Nxt Museum is a 10 minute walk from Noorderpark.
Walk ten minutes to Vijzelgracht metro station and take Metro line 52 towards Noord/ North. Exit at Noorderpark station after 3 stops. Nxt Museum is a 10-minute walk from Noorderpark Metro station.
It’s a 10-minute bike ride or 20-minute walk from Amsterdam central station. Simply take the ferry to Buiksloterweg (located at the rear of the station). After a 5-minute crossing it’s just a short walk or cycle to Asterweg 22.
